The free open air coming sunday on the Kurhaus terrace does not go on because of the bad weather forecast. Last week we had more luck and could continue inside in two impressive dance halls. This sunday there is a jazz festival in Kurhaus with Jocelyn Brown! The Tango Beach Festival starts in Kurhaus on Monday.
Inside in one of the luxury dance halls, including terrace with view over sea, boulevard and sunset. And … a nice wooden floor.
Grand Hotel Kurhaus is our brand new trendy beach club for Argentine Tango! From Sunday 22 July to the festival on Sundays TANDAS, CHILLING and LOUNGE: TANGO EN LA PLAYA! Combine a day of Scheveningen shopping, sunbathing, swimming and strolling with a delicious milonga on the terrace of Grand Hotel Kurhaus.

Getting there by public transport
Scheveningen is very easy to reach by public transport. As the traffic heading to Scheveningen can be very heavy during events and on summer days, public transport is a convenient way to travel. There are several trams and buses that run to Scheveningen beach from The Hague’s Central Station and Hollands Spoor (HS) train station. The journey from the railway stations to the beach is less than 15 minutes. Trams and buses operate from 7.00 to 24.00 hrs. and run approximately every 10 minutes.

Tram 1 and 9 and Bus 22 are very convenient for Scheveningen beach. Look at the map below for an overview of the buses and trams from The Hague Central Station and Hollands Spoor, or visit htm.nl for the most current information.
Parking at the beach
Would you like to park close to the beach? Park your car in a car park in the neighbourhood. Park along the Strandweg in 1 of the 256 parking spots or in 1 of the 300 parking spots at the Noordelijk Havenhoofd car park. This parking area is located on the Strandweg and can be reached via the Vissershavenweg. The car park is open 24 hours a day.
What does it cost?
€ 3.50 per hour
A day ticket for the car park costs € 21.70.
You can also park in 1 of the parking garages in the area.
Paid parking is in effect in the residential areas. You can park there a maximum of 60 to 120 minutes.

You can park your car at Kurhaus as well. (Private Kurhaus parking when you book a room)
Parking free zone, only 10 – 15 min walking!
- Badhuisweg along the forest, starting from the crossing with Brusselselaan.
- Nieuwe Parklaan starting from the crossing with the Nieuwe Duinweg. Also the sideroads like Cremerweg and Wagenaarweg.
- A little further away the Pompstationsweg and all the side roads on the East side (direction The Hague centre) like Tapijtweg can be used to park your care without paying.
All the locations indicated are 10 to 15 min walking to the beach. You can also use bus 23 (Alkemadelaan) or tram 9 (Nieuwe Parklaan) direction Scheveningen beach. One stop only.
