This is…the Hague!
– a seaside metropolis with royal style.
The city of peace and justice. Host to the king and government. A charming city with a historical inner city. This film lets you taste the atmosphere.
City at the sea
Like no other city in the Netherlands, The Hague offers a unique combination of city life and beach life. The city’s two seaside resorts – Scheveningen and Kijkduin – both boast lovely wide sandy beaches that attract locals and tourists alike. Getting to the historic city centre only takes you 15 minutes. More information
The Hague in a day
Do you have limited time but still want to see as much of The Hague as possible? In just a few hours, this day out in The Hague will show you the most essential sights of the city and beach: famous tourist highlights, such as the Binnenhof and Scheveningen Pier, also including en-route tips for must-see shops and restaurants. Conveniently shown on a map and including a clear route description. Enjoy!
Through forest and dunes to the sea
This challenging, varied forest and dune walk leads you from the edge of the historic inner city via a lovely route to the sea. Through the ages-old Haagse Bos Forest with its royal palace, via Clingendael House into the Meijendel dunes. Within this nature reserve, the route winds its way through many kilometres of footpaths to the coast, before finally bringing you out onto the beach towards Scheveningen. More information
– The residence of the Royal Family for centuries
The Hague is a royal city with a high feel-good factor. After all, you might spontaneously encounter members of the Royal Family on the street or in one of ‘their’ stores. You’ll also stumble upon the House of Orange; the many historical monuments, the presence of residential and working palaces, royal thoroughfares and horse-drawn coaches. More information
